George or Giorgos Iliopoulos was born in Athens in 1947.
At 17 enters the workshop of Panos Sarafianos, in which he acquires the first knowledge on the design and color.
He continues his studies in “Vakalo” famous school having as teachers the well-known academic painter Panagiotis Tetsis as well as Helen and George Vakalo.
His works seek to atmospheric open-air performance by adopting an impressionist style. He has worked themes depicting archaeological sites, faces of Athens neoclassical houses and Greek-style gates.
His artwork has been sold in the Auction houses of the Sotheby’s and the Bonhams “Greek sales” several times, and can be found in private collections worldwide.
